Chimney Power Sweeping (in any weather)
The heart and soul of our business. The Chimney Doctor uses the latest in flue cleaning technology - powered, rotary, sweeping tools - that enables us to clean your chimney, bottom to top, from inside your home. This allows us to effectively service your chimney flue from the ground, - any time, in any weather. As part of the cleaning, we conduct a Level 1 Inspection to check for anything that might compromise the system. Additionally, our service includes wood or pellet stoves inspection and routine stove maintenance like cleaning the glass, lubricating latches, etc. We also do stove repairs. The Chimney Doctor is available for emergency service and performance evaluation to keep your system heating reliably. Video inspection is also available. HEPA vacuums We use HEPA* vacuums and extensive drop cloths and coverings to keep your house the way you like it or … the way you left it. You’ll never know we were there. *HEPA (High-Efficiency Particulate Air) vacuums differ from conventional vacuums in that they contain filters that are capable of trapping extremely small, micron-sized particles. Pellet Stove Service Having an annual tune-up of pellet appliances, stoves, boilers and furnaces will keep them running efficiently, as intended. |

Chimney Weatherproofing
We fix leaky chimneys. Chimney Caps: A chimney flue is a hole into your house, allowing the elements, critters and who knows what else into your house. We can cover and screen that opening with a chimney cap to keep out unwanted visitors, snow and rain. The cap also serves as a spark arrestor, especially in important in wood-burning applications. Masonry Weatherproofing: Adding a vapor permeable, water repellent coating to the exterior of the exposed chimney not only stops leaks, but protects and extends the life of the brick. The coating is clear so it does not affect the appearance of your chimney. It's like Gortex for your chimney. Crown Resurfacing: The crown (the top of the chimney) is the starting point for major chimney deterioration. Let The Chimney Doctor resurface the very top of the chimney with an elastomeric crown, which also retards freeze-thaw damage. Flashing Repair: Flashing is the seal between the chimney and your house and if it's not sealed properly, water will enter through the gap. We seal, repair and replace faulty flashing. |
